You also visit the Place Royale and Notre Dame des Victoires, the oldest stone church in North America, and marvel at the turreted Château de Frontenac. Just as this ship is repositioning for winter so do the whales. Thirteen whale species are found in the salty waters of the St. Lawrence until the end of October including blue whales, the largest animals on the planet, as well as humpbacks. Today enjoy a full day at sea.
The journey is just as exciting as the destination when you’re sailing onboard Empress of the Seas. Rise and shine with a mimosa in hand at the Bottomless Galley Brunch, soak up the sun poolside and rock out on the Rock Climbing Wall. And night time is the right time to belt out your favorite tunes at karaoke. Enjoy a different live concert every night. Watch a dive-in movie under the stars. Or dance to live DJ beats at the best pool party at sea.
Day 5 – October 19 – Sydney, Nova Scotia
The northern city of Sydney, NS has a deep history and was originally founded in 1785 by British Loyalists fleeing the perils of the American Revolution.
