This morning you arrive on beautiful Maui for a two day stay. Arrival is at 8:00 am and you stay until 6:00 pm tomorrow. Maui is the 2nd Largest of the Hawaiian Islands and locals say “Maui no ka oi” — it’s the best, the most, the top of the heap. It has a surplus of natural splendor with miles of perfect beaches, lush green valleys, and volcanic landscapes. It’s beauty, rich culture and warm hospitality have helped to make it Hawaii’s second most popular island.

Day 5 – Kahului, Maui – Haleakala House of the Sun Tour option

In Hawaiian folklore the crater at the summit of Haleakala was home to the grandmother of the demigod Maui, legend has it that she helped him capture the sun and force it to slow its journey across the sky in order to lengthen the day. It is a view to behold. (B,L,D)

This afternoon you return to the ship. This evening is your optional Luau if chosen. A grand celebration of food, entertainment and Polynesian culture at sunset. Hawaiian luau tradition begins with a kalua pig cooked in an imu (earth oven), with haupia (coconut pudding) and poi (Hawaiian taro starch).
