Itinerary
Day 1: Chicago
Enjoy a complimentary stay at the pre-cruise hotel. The evening allows time to become acquainted with the city. Cruise Line Representatives will be available to provide
suggestions for dining, entertainment and sightseeing options to maximize your time here.
Day 2: Embarkation Chicago
Bold, brazen and distinctly American, Chicago has personality to spare. From our embarkation point at Navy Pier to towering skyscrapers to regional cuisine and a quirky dialect, this city
represents the heart and soul of the Midwest. Today embark aboard the M/V Victory I for your 9 Night sailing on the Great Lakes.
Day 3: Sailing Lake Michigan
These waters are home to a vast variety of wildlife – trout, salmon, walleye, smallmouth bass, crawfish, freshwater sponges and sea lamprey, to name a few. That buffet attracts
raptors such as hawks and bald eagles and waterfowl such as ducks, swans and geese. Relax and enjoy the view on your own time on this peaceful lake cruising day.
Day 4: Mackinac Island
Vacationers adore this unique American destination. Its devotees long for the time they can return to their beloved island retreat and truly disconnect from the daily hustle
and bustle. Clip-clop rhythms of horse hooves soothe the soul, with not a car in sight. The rich aroma of Mackinac’s signature treat –its famous fudge – permeates charming shops.
Tour the island by carriage and visit Fort Mackinac. Afterward, marvel at myriad magnificent selections on the Grand Hotel luncheon buffet for an included mid-day meal to treasure. And the view at the hotel from America’s longest front porch stretches for miles.
Day 5: Sault Ste. Marie
“The Saults” – international twin cities – are neighbors on either side of St. Marys River on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and in Southern Ontario. Soak in the culture of
the area on a narrated tour showcasing local highlights such as the retired lake freighter SS Valley Camp – now a museum – and an insider’s look at the engineering spectacle of
the Soo Locks, the world’s busiest canal in terms of tonnage.
Day 6: Little Current, Manitoulin Island
The raw beauty of Georgian Bay leads to the world’s largest freshwater island – Manitoulin – featuring picturesque granite outcrops and rolling farmland. In its largest town, Little
Current, indigenous life and legend meld with European history, with Immaculate Conception Church and its distinctive tepee-like architecture as a symbol.
Day 7: Sailing Lake Huron
Today, craft your experience as you choose: Kick back on deck to embrace the calmness and spirituality of Lake Huron, or take some time to connect with friends in the many public
spaces aboard the ship. This day on the lake is all yours.
Day 8: Detroit
There’s no better place than the Motor City to choose an optional premium experience to explore the captivating history of the automotive industry – and so much more – at The Henry Ford. Be astounded by the museum’s vast and varied artifacts of American heritage. The extraordinary exhibits chronicle the lifespan of a nation. All guests may choose the included excursion to the Detroit Institute of Arts and its 100-plus galleries, the Motown Museum, the West Canfield Historic District and other city highlights.
Day 9: Cleveland
Step off the ship onto what some call America’s “North Coast” and discover why Clevelanders are so fiercely proud of their home. The reinvented city reverberates with vitality and a cool new atmosphere. Expand your mind at the world-class Cleveland Museum of Art, with over 45,000 works to explore. For just the price of admission, you can also feel the backbeat at the museum devoted to one of America’s finest gifts to the world – the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Day 10: Port Colborne (Niagara Falls)
Make the most of the day with an experience to Niagara Falls. See Earth’s raw power on full display during an unforgettable encounter with a natural wonder of the world. Excitement
escalates as we climb aboard our Hornblower catamaran to sail into the mesmerizing mist. Afterward, reflect on your experience and explore local shops for the perfect souvenir to
remind you of your journey.
Day 11: Disembark in Toronto
After breakfast this morning, you journey concludes in Toronto. Enjoy the city at your leisure, or consider a post-cruise group premium experience.
