Day 1 – Arrive in Norfolk, VA for an overnight stay. You will be staying at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel, located on the riverbank of the Elizabeth River.
This evening, enjoy a dinner cruise on the Spirit of Norfolk. Enjoy a cruise on the Elizabeth River with spectacular views of the historic downtown waterfront, including the Navy’s Atlantic Fleet. There is also a lively dinner party atmosphere, complete with DJ entertainment encouraging you to get out on the dance floor.
Day 2 – This morning, visit Nauticus the National Maritime Center, and tour the USS Wisconsin, the largest battleship ever built by the Navy. You’ll discover how it earned its five battle stars during WWII.
Later this afternoon, you will board the Carnival Sunrise for a five night Bahamas Cruise. You will have time to settle into your cabins before the ship sets sail at 5:00 pm. Everything the sunlight touches on Carnival Sunrisehas been doused with an extra dose of fun, and there’s plenty atop this ship, where you can spend your days being kissed by the warm rays of the sun; fun at sea is guaranteed.
Day 3 – Fun Day at Sea – This is your day to explore all the Carnival Sunrisehas to offer. Ready to get wet? Try Carnival WaterWorks, the onboard waterpark, packs both favorites and awesome new slides — like the slick Speedway Splash — you haven’t seen anywhere yet. Then there’s the biggest Serenity area ever, featuring three decks, plenty of recliners… and even a waterfall. You may want to stay fit at the state-of-the-art fitness centers, relax in the jacuzzi or visit the late night buffet. You’ll never run out of fun things to do.
Day 4 – Visit Nassau, the Bahamas – What makes Nassau so special? Picture an idyllic place with stretches of perfect white-sand beaches, gracefully swaying coconut palms offering oases of shade, and warm, crystal-clear waters revealing the secrets of incredible multi-colored marine life. Whether you spend the day shopping for duty-free gifts and mementos, taking a carriage ride past sorbet-colored buildings, or touring in a glass-bottom boat, chances are you’ll leave this happy place in the Bahamas with lots of beautiful memories.
Day 5 – Visit Freeport, the Bahamas – The action is sizzling in Freeport, the resort center of Grand Bahama Island. You’ll find plenty of razzle-dazzle entertainment, from a casino to music clubs to barefoot beach bars. Freeport is also a sportsman’s paradise with endless opportunities for snorkeling, sailing, scuba diving, and one of the most impressive golf courses in the world. If shopping is your sport you’re sure to score big at the duty-free shops, where you can find excellent deals on cameras, watches, porcelain and fine jewelry. Or you can just kick back and enjoy the sun on one of the many gorgeous, white-sand beaches that abound.
Day 6 – Another Fun Day at Sea – Spend time relaxing at the spa. This is your time to be spoiled, indulged, pampered and beautified. Lay back, close your eyes, and feel the stress sail away as you tranquilize your body and mind. Enjoy this moment just for you.
Enjoy one of the musical revues up on stage from Playlist Productions, while Hasbro, The Game Show gets cruisers like you up on stage, competing in larger-than-life family favorites come to life.
Day 7 – The Carnival Sunrise returns to Norfolk at 8:00 am, disembark and depart for home.
